From Santa Fe, take 285/84 North to Espanola
(great Margaritas and food at El Parasol Mexican Restaurant. Turn right at the McDonald's in Espanola, then look to the left) ,
where it turns into 68. This runs through Velarde (slow down!) and Embudo (lots of curves!) to the most beautiful view of the Rio Grande Gorge (pull over, take out your camera) then into Ranchos de Taos.  Stay on Hwy 68 which is called Paseo del Pueblo Sur.  When you come to the light at the Albertson’s Grocery, take a left onto La Posta. 

Set your odometer at 0 here.  Go past Salazar Rd  to the second stop sign (.5 miles) and take a right, which keeps you on La Posta.  Follow this road until you come to Medio (.8 miles) and take a right.  Almost immediately you’ll see another stop sign at Ranchitos Road; take a left   Look at the next map below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You’ll pass thru an S-curve and pass the Hacienda de los Martinez (2.1 miles), then after a sharp curve to the right, you’ll see a road directly in front of you (2.8 miles).  That’s Cottam Road. They’re doing road work, so slow down.  The house is the first one on the right: #15 Cottam Road (2.9 miles)  The keypad for the gate is on the hinged side (left) of the gate, you have to get out of your car.  Park in front of the door to unload, then move to the garage.
